Assistant Nurse Emma's moving rendition of Adele song goes viral!
Emma Young’s rendition of the song originally written by Bob Dylan was captured on a phone by a member of staff at our Inpatient Unit in Colchester, and the video has since gone viral over the weekend. Take a look at the St Helena Hospice Facebook page!
The video has been viewed over 138,000 times on the St Helena Hospice Facebook page and has received many positive comments from supporters thanking Emma for sharing her talent with the patients:
“St Helena Hospice you should be proud of this young lady x”
“A special talent adding a calming and soulful song in an important place doing so much good and somewhere we all need to support. Thank you x”
Emma says: “I’m completely shocked that the video has gone viral but I thank everyone who has shared it and shown support towards myself and St Helena Hospice. The hospice really is a lovely organisation to work for and I feel privileged to work there and care for patients in one of the most important times of their lives.
“I love singing for the patients and families as I know that just for that moment it helps them to just forget what they are going through.”
Sarah Green, Director of Income and Communications at the Hospice said: "To see this video go viral is just amazing. It is such a great opportunity for us to raise awareness about St Helena Hospice and the work we do, as well as hospice care nationally.
