Speculate so that friends can accumulate!
If The Friends of the Wisdom Hospice gave you £50 to kick-start your fundraising efforts, how much money could you turn it into?
The charity has a wad of £50 notes to give out to its community and corporate supporters thanks to its incredible sponsors at The Joiners Shop, Basepoint Chatham.
The £50 Basepoint Challenge is really simple: You get £50 and three months to turn that money into as much as possible. The only thing the charity asks is that you give at least £50 back!
The Basepoint £50 Challenge runs until March 1st 2017 – that’s plenty of time to explore your fundraising creativity and, to celebrate the fundraisers’ achievements, The Friends will be holding a thank you do at The Wisdom Hospice in High Bank, Rochester on Thursday 16th March 2017.
Martyn Reeves, Chief Executive of The Friends of the Wisdom Hospice, said: “We can’t wait to get started on The Basepoint £50 Challenge as the fundraising opportunities for our supporters are unlimited!
The Friends are asking you to speculate so the charity can accumulate funds for The Wisdom Hospice. For the past three years, they have been working closely with the team at the business centre in Chatham. Thanks to the incredible support from centre manager, Lorraine Gardner, Basepoint through its charitable arm, The Act Foundation, will match fund the £50s, allowing the charity to raise even more money for The Wisdom Hospice.
“I am really excited by this challenge as we have had a lot of interest from a wide variety of groups. I was particularly humbled by the ambition of Walderslade Primary School setting themselves a target of £2000 from their £50.”
Lorraine Gardner, Centre Manager of Basepoint Chatham, added: “It’s our absolute pleasure to be working with The Friends of the Wisdom Hospice on their new fundraising initiative. There’s no catch. You really do receive a crisp £50 note to kick-start your fundraising and we can’t wait to see what you’ll do with that £50 to raise even more money for The Wisdom Hospice.”
