Remembering loved ones at Midsummer reflection

Over seventy people came together for a Midsummer Reflection remembrance event organised by John Taylor Hospice.

Now in its third year, Midsummer Reflection featured a simple service with readings, music and quiet time for families to remember their loved ones. Afterwards everyone gathered together outside to blow bubbles and enjoyed the chance to chat and meet John Taylor Hospice staff and supporters.

The free event at Hollyfields Centre in Erdington was organised by John Taylor Hospice’s Well-Being Team after families asked for a daytime remembrance event.

Spiritual Care Lead Helen Cotter said: “Our Midsummer Reflection is a chance for people to take an hour or so out of their busy lives to come together and remember and honour their loved ones who have died.”

John Taylor Hospice’s next remembrance event is Light up a Life which takes place on 10 December at Hollyfields. Click here for more information.
