Vintage Vehicle Breakfast Run

On Sunday 25th June, a group of vintage vehicle owners once again came together for a run and breakfast, raising £214.20 for Cynthia Spencer Hospice.

Eleven old tractors and a Morris 1000 Police Panda Car met in the car park of The Stag at Maidwell and were joined by other supporters who came for breakfast. Grace Abbott and her grandson James organised a raffle, whose proceeds came to the Hospice.

After breakfast all drivers made their way by lanes and by-ways to Bunkers Hill Farm, Cold Ashby where 3 generations of The Lill family welcomed everyone for refreshments .

Then it was off through Welford to Avalanche Adventure in Sibbertoft where Vintage earthmovers were working at The Muck Shifting Event which was being held to raise money for the Air Ambulance.

Rob Sawyer of Avalanche provided drivers with refreshments as they relaxed and sat on his picnic benches before making for home.

The team at Cynthia Spencer Hospice would like to thank everyone who attended, and especially to Rob and his staff at the at The Stag, Ken Nixon and Dave Blencowe who helped with the organization, Grace and James, The Lill Family and to Rob and his staff at Avalanche.
