Wessex Country Fair raises 40k!
The Wessex Country Fair has broken all records this year! In its 5th year, Salisbury Hospice Charity is thrilled to announce over 4000 attendees and also a record £40k raised.
This year there was something for everyone; dressage camels, duck racing, birds of prey, live music, a wide range of trading stalls and displays of vintage cars and steam vehicles. There were also some new additions including Shetland pony rides and a climbing wall for the little ones and displays of both line dancing and cheerleading for all ages. The Hospice Village, run by Salisbury Hospice’s very own Clinical Team was a tremendous success providing tea, coffee & cakes, whilst the Shrewton Silver Band kindly performed, adding to the wonderful atmosphere of the day.
Paula Flower, Head of Fundraising at Salisbury Hospice Charity said: ’We are delighted that so many of the local community turned out to support the event which has raised an incredible amount for Salisbury Hospice. I would like to thank everyone who helped make the day such a success, especially our tremendous volunteers without whom the day would not have been possible.”
