Waitrose Rushden's 'Token' Gesture

Customers from Waitrose in Rushden have come together to raise £500 for the Cynthia Spencer Hospice at Home team. Customers shopping in Waitrose are given a green Community Matters token at the checkout and they then choose from one of three chosen charities and place their token in the box. Their Hospice at Home team were nominated as one of the three charities and this resulted in a wonderful donation in support of the service.

John Helm, Fundraising Manager (pictured receiving the cheque from the Store Manager at Waitrose Rushden) said "We'd like to thank everyone at Waitrose Rushden who supported Hospice at Home with their green token. By supporting Hospice at Home you are helping to ensure that our patients can receive their care where they want it, in their own home. That you too to the person who nominated Hospice at Home as one of a Waitrose Community Matters chosen charity."

If you'd like to nominate the Cynthia Spencer Hospice at Home service as a Community Matters charity at branches of Waitrose in Daventry, Towcester or Wootton, please download and complete a Community Matters nomination form below and drop it off in store.
