Nottinghamshire Hospice becomes 11th hospice partner to join Your Hospice Lottery
Your Hospice Lottery is delighted to be teaming up with Nottinghamshire Hospice to expand their lottery services and support the fantastic work of this community-based palliative care service by inviting supporters to play the lottery with the exciting chance to win cash prizes and help raise essential funds.
Nottinghamshire Hospice is the 11th Hospice partner to join forces with Your Hospice Lottery in a bid to boost funds and achieve a good regular income via a weekly lottery draw. By joining this growing lottery community and working with other hospices in this way Nottinghamshire Hospice can offer its supporters a fun and easy way to support their vital services and ensure all funds raised go towards hospice care.
Anita Harris, Head of Fundraising, Marketing and Communications said: “Earlier this year we had the opportunity to look at how we could promote and expand our lottery income and Your Hospice Lottery offer a complete package including ongoing recruitment of lottery players, helping us to maximise the income available to our patients and their families. People who play our new lottery also have a chance of winning much larger prizes.”
Each year the Hospice need to raise £3 million to be able to deliver their current services free of charge to adults who have terminal and life-limiting illnesses as well as their families and carers, which means they are reliant on the wonderful support of their local community. One full day in Day Therapy for one patient costs £160 and £52 could pay for a counselling session. By playing the weekly Your Hospice Lottery, supporters will be providing a valuable and regular income for Nottinghamshire Hospice which will support expansion of their services to benefit more families across Nottinghamshire.
Alex Howe, Head of Lottery at Your Hospice Lottery commented “We are delighted to be welcoming Nottinghamshire Hospice into our weekly lottery draw. We have 17 years’ experience of running a successful lottery operation for hospices nationally and are extremely blessed to have the opportunity to expand and work with Nottinghamshire Hospice.”
He went onto say “The fact that we are owned and operated by a hospice, means that all proceeds of our lottery support hospice care.”
The Your Hospice Lottery team are now in the Nottinghamshire area, appealing for those who would like to play for just £1 per number per week. There are over 130 weekly cash prizes guaranteed, ranging from £1000 down to £10, plus a rollover jackpot, which if not won increases by £250 each week up to a maximum of £10,000.
