Salisbury winner sets sights on Scotland
Frances Forryan from Fordingbridge, a Salisbury Hospice supporter won £1,000 in the lottery draw.
She admits she was a “little sceptical” upon receiving the phone call to deliver the good news, but when the cheque arrived in the post very quickly Mrs Forryan was put at ease. She said “I haven’t spent my winnings yet but I am planning to go on holiday to Scotland, where I come from and perhaps visit the Isle of Skye. I would need to take the train, hire a car and book into a B&B which I couldn’t really afford before, but I can now!”
Frances had been playing the lottery for nearly a year when she won and first joined after speaking to a fundraiser in Ringwood. She adds: “They were very friendly and knowledgeable, that is why I signed up. They must have been good as I would not normally sign up to anything in the street!”
Alex Howe, Head of Lottery at Your Hospice Lottery, explains: “Our team of friendly fundraisers do an amazing job recruiting new members with over 8,000 plays now in the draw in support of Salisbury Hospice. They can be seen out and about in the local community at venues speaking to the public about this fun and easy way to raise money for the hospice and have a chance of winning a cash prize too!”
