‘Special’ donation leads to extra special win for Sarah and her Mum

A recent £1,000 jackpot winner, Sarah Eason from Harpole describes her reaction to her good news as “ecstatic” and plans to spend her winnings on a holiday with her Mum.

Sarah, who has never won before on our lottery said she never expected to win this much after signing up with one of our fundraisers while out shopping with her Mum at Sixfields.

Sarah said: “People need to support charities like Cynthia Spencer who do so much for local people. I’ve got friends who have benefited from the support of the hospice and their families that are left behind are still benefitting from the assistance the hospice gives.

“I don’t think everybody realises that this support goes on after someone has passed away. The main thing I’d say to encourage other people to join the lottery is that you never know when you’re going to need the hospice and this is a great way of giving regularly and knowing where your donation is going. You can see the difference your donation is making locally which is really special.”
