If you read last weeks’ blog, you will probably remember that we gave a more in-depth introduction into some of our incredible local hospice partners. This week, Your Hospice Lottery is continuing where we left off, so without further ado, here is an introduction to our hospice partner’s – part 2.
Halton Haven Hospice
Located in Runcorn, Halton Haven is a local hospice who provide skilled nursing and medical care within a peaceful and relaxed setting. They specialize in palliative care, which is the active, total care of people whose illness is treatable but cannot be cured.
Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice
Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice provides support for babies, children, and young people with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions and their families in North and Central London as well as Hertsmere. Their mission is to provide care and support for children and young people from birth and enable them to live full lives and to achieve their aspirations.
Founded in 1980, Nottinghamshire Hospice is a community-based palliative care centre which provides quality care services to adults who have terminal and life-limiting illnesses, and their families and carers. All their services are delivered and based on individual needs.
Salisbury Hospice Charity
Salisbury Hospice charity offers a wide range of services to patients and their families who may be cared for either in their own homes through non-residential and inpatient services at the hospice. The support they offer may be for up to a year, or even longer in some cases.
St Helena is a local hospice in Colchester, Essex. They help local people face incurable illness and bereavement, supporting patients and their families, friends, and carers. St Helena reach out to members in the community, helping them make their own choices and live with dignity.
The Friends of the Wisdom Hospice
The Wisdom Hospice is the only Adult Hospice for the areas of Medway and Swale. The specialist palliative care service provided by Medway Community Healthcare and partially funded by The Friends, offers a multi-disciplinary approach, providing care at home, on the ward or in hospital.
Weldmar Hospicecare provides a compassionate approach to end of life care and supports patients and their families, medically and in other ways, in the community, in their hospice and at home.
