Staff and supporters served up a treat to raise hundreds of pounds for John Taylor Hospice.
Experienced and budding bakers put their skills to the test in an Easter bake off competition hosted in John Taylor’s Heart of the Hospice. Entrants went head-to-head in four categories hoping to be the star of the show and scoop the top prize!
To mark the start of the hospice’s Coffee Morning Month, volunteers and supporters were invited to enjoy a slice of the fundraising action by joining staff for a cuppa and a delicious homemade treat.
The event was organised by John Taylor staff member and keen baker Kate Ellis. “We’re delighted with how many people entered the bake off competition and turned out to the coffee morning and cake sale,” said Kate who is PA to the CEO and Secretary to the Board.
“Congratulations to the winners and a big thank you to staff, volunteers, neighbours and supporters who joined us to tuck into the delicious cakes. It was a great chance for us all to get together and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
We have some very talented bakers who showed off their skills and together we raised an impressive £200 for our hospice!
