Cyclists took to the picturesque north Essex countryside at the weekend to show their support for St Helena Hospice.
Cyclists of all ages and abilities enjoyed gorgeous autumnal weather as they cycled between 10 to 75 miles, all starting and finishing at Monks Farm in Dedham.
The charity Cycle Ride event saw over 300 supporters cycling in memory of a loved one, while others took part for fun, as a challenge, or to get back on the saddle after their recent London to Paris voyage for the hospice!
Lisa Chenery, Events Fundraiser, said: “Thank you so much to everyone who took part in the event – you were all fantastic and we hope you enjoyed the new routes!
“A special thank you to our wonderful volunteers for giving up their time to help make the event a success; we couldn’t have done it without them, particularly our volunteer marshals – they are a vital part of the event to ensure safety on the routes and to direct cyclists.
“We’re also extremely grateful to all of the local companies who have helped make the event possible by donating their goods or services: Tesco Highwoods, Dedham Coop and Eat Natural for donating all the refreshments for the day; Fisher Jones Greenwood for sponsoring the event; the landowners; Julian from Cycle Tech and Colchester Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic.”
