On Saturday 17th June 2016, hundreds of ladies donned on their trainers and dressed in pink to celebrate 10 years of our popular 5k woodland walk, around the Wyre Forest at Midnight.
Everyone enjoyed the entertainment provided by Signal 107’s Dicky Dodd, Tom Joseph performed as Michael Buble and local singer, Meg Shaw sang during our Midnight Memories.
We hope to raise £20,000 at this year’s walk, with the money going towards providing specialist care and support to patients, carers and families who are living with a life limiting illness and bereavement, in Wyre Forest.
Shelley Stanley, KEMP’s events fundraiser, said: “I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone that supported our 10th Midnight Walk – it was a fantastic evening and we could not be luckier with the weather.
“We would not have been able to hold the Midnight Walk without the support of so many local businesses, including event sponsors Oakleaf Commercial Services, Standard Motor Transport for lending us their trailer, Severn Area Rescue Association (SARA) for doing a wonderful job with the first aid and radio communications – it is a real pleasure to work with this brilliant local charity. Signal 107 for all their support on the night and the lead up to the event, Loxley Scaffolding, Midcounties Co-op, Co-op Bewdley Bridge, Stourport Tesco, Marvin Cox Lubricants, Quads and Castles, Walton and Hipkiss, the staff at Wyre Forest, and last but not least, the incredible 40 volunteers who gave their time.”
