Bruce Burrows and Nigel Morley from Northampton’s Pomfret Masonic Lodge No 360 visited Cynthia Spencer Hospice recently to handover £600 raised for the Hospice at a Summer garden party Nigel organised last year. At the party family, friends, neighbours  and fellow Masons enjoyed a buffet and entertainment provided by a singer and a magician.

Bruce, who is Lodge Almoner has a duty for the health and well-being of active members, retired members and the widows of deceased members and has a deep personal connection with the Hospice. He told us: “I support Cynthia Spencer Hospice because it’s a place that allows patients to die in dignity and comfortable surroundings supported by wonderful staff. My late wife Sandra died from breast cancer while staying at the Hospice in April 2006 and her mother nearly 30 years before that.”

Victoria New, Marketing Manager at Cynthia Spencer Hospice said: “We’re grateful for the support Pomfret Lodge No 360 has given the Hospice through its long history and are delighted that they have again chosen to raise funds for us.”
