Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice Precious Moments concert on 26 November was an amazing success, raising £14,000 for the hospice– twice as much as last year – and wowing the audiences at both afternoon and evening shows.
Five schools took part in the concerts in the lovely setting of St James Church Muswell Hill, hosted by actress Michelle Collins. Long-term supporters Martyn Gerrard Estate Agents generously supported the concert helping us to the £14,000 total.
Among the soloists was X Factor contender Luena Martinez who treated the audience to the debut of her new song Be My Baby, as well as a beautiful version of Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.
Award-winning acapella group All the King’s Men gave their take on the carol Oh little Town of Bethlehem.
And the evening performance’s 280-strong audience gave a standing ovation when the entire line-up came together to sing All You Need is Love.
Organiser Holly Marriott, from the Noah’s Ark events team, said: “We’re so pleased with how the concerts went and the amount of money that was raised. It was so lovely to see school choirs and singers from across north London come together to support Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice. It was a truly memorable event and we’re so grateful to everyone who took part and came along.”
