Arthur Rank Hospice Charity supports people in Cambridgeshire living with an advanced serious illness or other life-limiting conditions and those who need end-of-life care. Its ‘Outstanding’ services are provided free of charge to patients and their families. Their aim being able to provide the highest quality care, helping people to make every moment count.
Programmes are practical, holistic, and tailored to the individual patient, family member or carer. It will costs around £12.12 million to run services in 2023/2024, which provide support and care for around 4,000 patients. Contracted services from the NHS are budgeted at £7.33 million, meaning that £4.79 million needs to be raised through donations, fundraising activities, and retail sales.
This care supports people to improve their quality of life and fulfil their end of their life choices. Alongside the care provided by the Inpatient Unit, Living Well services and Hospice at Home teams, patients can access: patient and family support (including counselling, bereavement, psychological and spiritual support); Lymphoedema care; physiotherapy, occupational, complementary and creative therapies; medical and pain outpatient clinics; Transitioning Young People Services, Caring Communities and advice from the Clinical Nurse Specialists within the Specialist Palliative Care Home Team or via the Palliative Care Hub.
Through their continual dedication, commitment and generosity, the funds raised by the local community helps to make every moment count for patients and their families.
From your very first game, you will help Arthur Rank Hospice Charity raise vital funds that will support people in need in the local community. Some examples of what your contribution could pay for are:
£29 could provide a one-hour counselling session for patients and their loved ones.
£63 could fund the purchase of a nurse’s uniform.
£109 could cover the monthly cost of heat and light in one of their family apartments.

Each entry to the draw costs £1. Our draws are run every week of the year, usually on a Friday. You can either set up a membership to provide your chosen hospice with a regular and reliable income, every week of the year, or you can play as and when you want to, whatever suits you best!
Lottery fundraising is a really easy and fun way to provide hospices with an income that they can plan for the future with. You need to be 18 or over and living in Great Britain to take part.

When you join, we will allocate you with a lottery play number. Our draws are randomly drawn each Friday (with exception when this is a Bank Holiday, when it will take place the working day prior). You don’t need to check the results every week, although you can if you want to. If you win, we will contact you to let you know. If we have your email, your prize winnings will automatically go into your Your Hospice Lottery account; where you can then request a withdrawal, after which monies are then transferred into your bank account, or if you don’t have an email with us, a letter and cheque will be sent via post (please make sure that we have your up to date address).
